Liz after her first deshedding treatment!
Waterless Shampoo Method:
1 - We spray your dog/cat with a waterless
shampoo and conditioner.

2 - Once the spray is dry, we begin the
deshedding process!  We use a special
brush that is designed to remove the
undercoat (which is what is responsible for
the most shedding).  It does not damage the
top coat!

3 - That's it!

Bath and Deshed:
1 - Your dog will receive a bath, using my
shampoo or your own.  I also have a
massaging brush that I can use on your dog
or cat for that extra special touch!  They will
then be dried using a hairdryer or towel
(depending on the coat type of your dog or
cat).

2 - Once your dog is dry, we will follow Step
2 above.

This is a brand new service being offered to Lazy Days
clients!  We use only Furminator brand products, which
is guaranteed to reduce shedding by up to 90%!  You
can add this onto your pet sitting appointment or you
can request that we come to your house while you are
home.  You are more than welcome to sit in and watch
the process being done.
Can any dog have the deshedding done?
No.  Dogs with skin conditions (such as eczema or mange) cannot have this process done.  There are also
certain breeds of dogs that cannot have this particular process done.  Please click
here to see a list of
breeds to see if your dog is eligible or not.

Can cats have this process done as well?
Cats can have this done but, just like with the dogs, certain cat breeds should not undergo this process.
Click
here to see the list of breeds that should not have this process done.

How long does this process take?
It all depends on the size of the dog/cat and how long the hair is.  Obviously, the bigger and more hair the
dog has, the longer it will take.  It took me 45 minutes to do my 67 pound Lab-mix, Liz (see picture above).

How often should this process be done?
It is recommended that your pet have this done every six to eight weeks.

My dog has allergies.  Can he still receive a bath and be deshed?
Absolutely!  If you have a shampoo that your dog normally uses, I will be more than happy to use that
instead of my own.  I have three different shampoos at all times, one of which is hypoallergenic, but if you
are uncomfortable using any of them, I can bathe your dog using baby shampoo.
Want your dog to have their ears cleaned or
anal glands done along with their bath and/or
deshed?  For only $10 each, I will gladly add
these services to your pet's bath and
deshedding!  Visit my

information!
